Students at Gunbalanya School were presented with their graduation certificates in a ceremony attended by family, friends, and members of the local community. The ceremony was held in school, surrounded by the natural environment that the students have been learning to protect and manage as part of their course.
The students have been studying the AHC10120 Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management which provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to work in the conservation and land management sector. The course covers a range of topics, including identifying plants and animals, controlling weeds and pests, and managing the impacts of climate change which can prepare students for work with local Land Council Rangers.
The completion of the AHC10120 Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management is a proud moment for the local community and a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, resilience and a goal to protect the environment we live in.
