The hard work and dedication of the agriculture students and their trainer were rewarded when they claimed a number of awards at the annual Alice Springs Show for 2022.
Students spent months of planning and preparation to show the cattle, including halter training and handling as well as learning and practicing being junior judges. The day of the show was well worth the cold 5am start and the students walked away with an array of awards including the top Rabobank Junior Encouragement Award.
The Rabobank Junior Encouragement Award encourages young people aged 8 to 18 years in the Beef Industry by awarding one recipient $1,000, which goes toward them attending a heifer show interstate.
